Activities for Anytime
| Bike Around the Island and Grab a Bite at the Cannonball Inn
Exploring the Island by bicycle is a time-honored tradition. From natural features to architectural tours, cyclists find the Island views perfect eye candy while enjoying the great outdoors. Bring your own bikes or rent them from Mission Point. Enjoy a casual lunch or dinner at the Cannonball Inn at Historic British Landing. | Theatres
Mission Point Theatre is home to Monday Night Movies during peak season with first run films each week. The Haunted Theatre and Wax Museum is a fun haunted house filled with wax creatures created by the late Dale Kuipers who was well known for his work in the films Alien, The Thing, The Alpha Incident, Caveman and most notably American Werewolf in London. |

| 1:00PM - 4:30PM | Tour Fort Mackinac (Included in the Experience Package) On a southern bluff overlooking the majestic Straits of Mackinac is the stately stone palisade of Fort Mackinac. Inside the fort walls are 14 original buildings filled with interactive displays and period furnishings. Hear bugle music, rifle fire, and a cannon blast. Dance to a 19th-century tune. | Explore the Grand Hotel (Included in the Experience Package)
A variety of activities both at Grand Hotel can make for a most enjoyable day for guests of all ages. Turn back the clock and have seat on the Grand's 660 foot Front Porch (the world's largest!), explore the legendary gardens of the Grand, or -better yet- take a dip in the Esther Williams Swimming Pool. The heated 500,000-gallon, 220-foot long serpentine-shaped pool is ideal for sunning, swimming or just soaking up the beauty of the surrounding gardens. Constructed in 1902 as a private summer cottage, this residence has served as weekend getaways for Michigan governor's since July 1945. (The nearby Major's Quarters was used as the official "Governor's Cottage" between 1935 and 1945.) Tours are Wednesdays only, meet on the corner of Fort Street and Huron Road. Tours start between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Free to the public. |
