Summary
MASSP believes the same old way of doing things is not going to work in the face of Michigan's current education climate. Despite the recent paradigm shift, many Michigan public schools are still walking around in the old reality with the same old strategies. It's time to change our attitude and execute new strategies.

Educators must enter the 2010-11 school year with a 'can-do' attitude and the skills and will power to execute the opportunities afforded us. MASSP believes attitude and execution will be crucial for principals and and other building leaders. We see teachers, superintendents and school boards still operating in the old culture that was about making change in trade-off for percentage raise increases, or taking cuts by shaving days off the contract, or throwing enrichment out (sports, arts, music), etc. That way of thinking is over.
We need building administrators to EXECUTE leadership.
MASSP Summer Retreat is THE opportunity to reconnect with your peers, regain perspective on student achievement and refocus your efforts. Each year, the content is carefully selected to ensure a timely and optimal learning experience for building administrators, counselors and key players in student success.
