Milan High Academy -- Presentation on Algebra, Freshmen Transition, Senior Rigor, English 9, Student Leadership

Just inviting you to visit my blog regarding the Milan
High School Academy, especially regarding Algebra I success. We have
been fortunate at Milan High to work with a consultant on High School
transformation the last few years and would like to present the work on
Monday, June 16th (a brochure is available on the blog).

One major area of focus was the freshmen year. Our transition program
will be on display, as well as the work in English 9 and Algebra I --
where we are having less than 5% failure at semester with all 9th grade
students meeting the new high school content expectations (students can
place into higher math or English, but there are no other low track
offerings). There will also be presentations on Senior Rigor and
Relevance, special education, and other unique courses/initiatives here
at Milan High.
